June Round Up!

Hey friends - can you believe it’s already the end of June?! Where does the Summer go? Well, in Texas, it goes up (as in the temperature) - I’m battening down the hatches and turning up the A/C for the 100°F+ days to come.

And what will I be reading/listening to/watching/eating as I sit in my forced-air oasis? I’m so glad you asked…

READING

Flock & Gabble Interview Series - I love the entrepreneur interviews these gals have been doing, and the fun-filled mission of collaboration that infuses their whole business.

Mystic Mamma - One of my woo-woo favorites, I read this all the time. I love the way that so many different voices are brought together to interpret cosmic events - so that you can tease out the insights you need by reading between the lines of different authors’ voices.

Warrior of the Light by Paulo Coehlo - This book has been sitting on my shelf since my last birthday. Every time I see it I feel a deep pang of guilt - Coehlo’s The Alchemist changed the way I see the world, and I’ve heard so many great things about this book, too. This month, Imma read it.

LISTENING

Lemonade by Beyoncé - Sorry, not sorry. I’m not even a huge fan of Beyoncé, but I do love this album.

Dear Sugar Radio - I’m a little addicted to this public radio podcast hosted by authors Cheryl Strayed and Steve Almond. Since I just discovered it in April, I’m still getting caught up on past episodes. I promise, the rawness of the human experiences shared by the letter-writers + the tender nuance meets real-talk of Cheryl and Steve’s responses will get you hooked too.

WATCHING

Raiders of the Lost Art - Because I’m a huge dork (and former Art History major). This is the kind of thing I like to watch with some wine and pizza on Friday night.

Amy Kuretsky - I recently found out about this awesome acupuncture + Chinese medicine boss through the BeingBoss Clubhouse, and am fascinated by her unique perspective on entrepreneurship + wellness. I’ll be getting caught up on these two free webinars this month.

EATING

Now that Birthday Month is done I’ve got some serious detoxing to do from allllllllll that cake ;) - here’s what’s on my cooking list for a healthier July:

Creamy Goat Cheese Asparagus Quinoa Salad

Cauliflower and Hazelnut Soup with Fried Sage

Fig and Rosemary Sticky Glazed Roast Chicken
